Fernandina Beach, FL

Located on Amelia Island, this historic beach town boasts private beaches and marshlands waiting to be explored.  Downtown offers a local farmer's market, many restaurants, and antique stores for the collector.  A favorite hobby for locals and visitors alike is to comb the beach hunting for numerous shark's teeth that have washed ashore.

Way too many people, long lines, overpriced everything, and freezing cold, but nothing quite compares to Christmas in New York!  Give your trip enough time to visit landmarks, shopping districts, see shows, and dine at some of the most prestigious restaurants in the world.

The Great Smoky Mountains, NC

Only a 3 hour drive to The Waynesville Inn Resort and Spa, Katy and I were able to enjoy a weekend in November hiking in the mountains and visiting the Biltmore House.  Try to visit while the leaves are still changing; the weather is ideal and the views unbeatable.
